Description
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating is a process used to apply a thin film of material onto a surface. PVD coatings are often used to improve the wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and aesthetic properties of metal parts. The PVD coating process involves vaporizing a target material (such as titanium or chromium) using high-energy methods, such as electrical bombardment or laser ablation, and depositing the vapor onto a substrate. The resulting film is typically very thin, on the order of a few micrometers, and has excellent adhesion to the substrate. PVD coatings are used in a variety of applications, including the decorative coating of automotive and consumer electronics parts, as well as in the production of cutting tools and medical implants.
